Der Bildband versucht die Faszination Motorrad in all seinen Facetten einzufangen. Das ist leider nicht ganz geglückt.Das Bildmaterial ist zum Teil ansprechend, enthält aber viel zu viele statische Aufnahmen, in der Mehrzahl von Oldtimern und Klassikern und zu wenig Aufnahmen von Motorrädern in Action. Über viele Seiten hinweg wirkt das Buch wie ein Katalog. Schade.Natürlich darf man von einem Bildband nicht zu viel Information erwarten, aber auch hier enttäuscht das Buch. Einige wenige grosse Touren werden vorgestellt, die Angaben sind aber so dürftig, dass man nur wenig damit anfangen kann. Das gleiche gilt auch für die wenigen Motorradtreffen, die kurz vorgestellt werden.Alles in allem, großartige Idee, Schwächen in der Umsetzung.
Schon das große Format des Buches beeindruckt. In Zeiten des Digitalen ein schönes Erlebnis, handwerklich und drucktechnisch ist das Buch ein Genuß! Und die Macher haben mit viel Empathie eine liebevolle Dokumentation rund um das Thema Motorrad erstellt. Die Selektion der Themen hat mir jedenfalls sehr gut gefallen, daher 5 Sterne
Eher langweiliges Sammelsurium von Artikeln, Ideen etc. Passion bleibt auf der Strecke. Grundgedanke für das Buch durchaus interessant. Ich frage mich, ob der Autor selber Motorrad fährt
